Equipment To Improve Swimming Technique
If you want to really improve your swimming times in the pool and open water here are a list of my favourite swimming tools.
FINIS Tempo Trainer
In my squad, I make this an essential item, and if you want to get the most out of your swimming sessions and make them highly individualised, then this should be on your must have list. The tempo trainer is an excellent tool for those wanting to work on their swimming speed. It allows you to track your swimming pace in the water. Depending on the settings it will beep at 25m or 50m intervals to let you know if you’re going too fast, too slow or right on pace, and you wear it underneath your swimming cap.

Agility Hand Paddles
Using paddles in your swim sessions is a great way to build your strength in the pool. The only type of paddles we recommend are the Finis Agility Paddles because they don’t feature hand straps. This encourages correct hand entry and helps to promote correct technique.

Finis 1.05.052.104 Pulling Ankle Strap, Yellow
Bands are used to eliminate kicking from your stroke, forcing you to work on your core and upper body strength. They’re typically used along side paddles or a pullbuoy.
